About Amanda Jelden's counseling services

I'm a therapist located in Mystic Connecticut that loves to help people grow into their best selves. That person is in you, and it's so rewarding to help you find them. Whether it is anxiety, a mood disorder, depression, or trauma that is holding you back, I can help you learn how to manage these tough feelings. It's not easy work, but it is important work. Let's work on it together.

To learn more about me take a look at the About Amanda page

I use EMDR therapy (stands for eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) in order to help look at current triggers and how past events created those triggers. EMDR can help with difficulties such as

  • traumatic memories

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • addictions

  • performance anxiety

  • performance enhancement

  • stress reduction

Check out my services provided page to get more information on EMDR therapy

I also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help change unhelpful thought patterns. CBT is helpful with

  • replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts

  • changing behaviors that are making emotions more unmanageable

  • changing destructive thought patterns

  • anxiety symptoms

  • depression symptoms

There is more information on CBT on my services provided page
